We have an open U-shaped staircase that leads to our basement. The wall remained blank for months while I searched for the perfect piece to hang there. One day, I found a pair of old windows at a yard sale for $5 each and knew that they were exactly what needed to go above the stairs.

After a little muscle from my hubby, and a very tall ladder, we had these 5-foot tall babies hanging above the stairs like they were made to be there!
